Hospital based cohort studies on HBV and/or HCV positive individuals to evaluate acceptable (invasive versus non-invasive and cost-effective modalities for assessment and progression of hepatic fibrosis. |
Expected Deliverables |
To train clinicians and specialists in viral Hepatitis and Liver diseases. HIP:-
- To identify the factors influencing fibrosis development and progression in different cohorts and populations.
- Delineate appropriate evaluation tools for diagnosis and progression of Fibrosis
- Studies could be expanded to other countries and regions. WHO Dliverable (Top Task)Evidence-based data and policies for action to support WHO’s initiatives on assessment of hepatic fibrosis in relation to viral hepatitis.
